People are living longer than ever, which is a gift. But for many seniors, longer life also means more years of loneliness, loss, and limited support.<\/span><\/p>

I\u2019ve listened to elders share stories that are hard to hear:<\/span><\/p>

  1. friends and spouses have passed away<\/span><\/li>
  2. adult children are aging, ill, or gone<\/span><\/li>
  3. Visits are rare<\/span><\/li>
  4. Days are quiet<\/span><\/li>
  5. They feel forgotten<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

    Many live in nursing homes with few resources and even fewer connections. They don\u2019t need grand gestures. They need dignity, basic supplies, and to be seen.<\/span><\/p>

    That\u2019s where L.I.F.T. R&R<\/strong> steps in.<\/span><\/p>

    Since 2019, we have partnered with Nursing Homes in McKinney to:<\/span><\/p>

    1. Provide care packages with essential items<\/span><\/li>
    2. Host \u201cA Senior\u2019s Holiday\u201d Christmas celebration<\/span><\/li>
    3. Bring gifts, listening ears, and a human connection<\/span><\/li>
    4. Remind residents that their wisdom still matters<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

      The most powerful moments are simple \u2014 tears when someone finally asks, \u201cWhat do you think? What advice do you have?\u201d Seniors light up because they feel remembered, valued, and important again.<\/span><\/p>

      They cared for us when we were too young to care for ourselves.<\/span><\/p>

      Now it\u2019s our turn.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

      Let\u2019s stand with our elders.<\/strong><\/p>
